Cryptoflex Club (demo)

The EmDash CMS needed a public-facing reference site that showed what the platform could do without dropping it onto a live client engagement. We needed a demo that exercised every major EmDash feature: D1-backed content, R2-backed media, KV-backed cache, Astro templating, and Cloudflare Workers routing. We also needed a tone that gave the demo a memorable identity rather than another generic Lorem Ipsum filler site.

The em-dash gag was the answer. A satirical "crypto club" concept that leans into em-dashes as a visual joke and as a tech demonstration. The contrast with our em-dash-banned house style is intentional. It makes the constraint visible by violating it on purpose.

An Astro site running on the EmDash CMS on Cloudflare Workers. 13 routes, 37 R2-hosted images, 77 seeded content entries. Articles are fully editable through the EmDash admin, deployed via `wrangler deploy`, and served at the Cloudflare edge.

Content architecture demonstrates the CMS's collection model. Articles, members, events, and merch all live as separate collections with their own schemas. Frontend templates pull from each collection without hand-written queries.

Media handling shows the R2 + image-optimization path. Every article hero pulls from R2 with on-the-fly resize and WebP conversion at the edge. Caching is KV-backed so the second hit on any URL is sub-50ms anywhere on the planet.

The em-dash content is satirical and clearly labeled as such. We did not retouch it for this case study, since editing the em-dashes out would defeat the demo.

A working public reference for the EmDash CMS that exercises every major feature in production. 13 routes return 200, 37 images delivered from R2, 77 content entries seeded. Domain binding moved cleanly to Cloudflare after the GoDaddy nameserver migration.

For agency partners, this is the demo to point a client at when "we want a CMS our editors can actually use" comes up. EmDash is editor-first, sub-100ms at the edge, and not WordPress.
